Athos, the latest in IOIOBox's line of innovative outdoor enclosures, represents the culmination of their design philosophy. It's a system designed to meet the most demanding project requirements, offering unparalleled modularity and a vast array of solutions. Each component of the Athos ecosystem has been crafted with the client's needs in mind, ensuring that what you get is precisely what you need - nothing more, nothing less.
Athos features a unique dual-frame structure: a main frame and a base frame, constructed from lightweight, yet strong .125” aluminum, offering durability and ease of handling.
Coming standard is a generous 25 Rack Unit (RU) space in the front and an additional 25RU in the back, with a 4-post rack and large cable pass-throughs. The rackmount rail depth is infinitely adjustable on T-slot tracks, accommodating both 19” and 23” racking, independently adjustable for the front and back.
Front and back recessed doors are equipped with industrial 3-point latches, available with round key and/or padlock options. Both front and back doors offer easy access with door stays and open in a 'suicide' style, suitable for wall-adjacent installations.
Climate control options range from passive to powered venting, a solar shield attic, and top-mounted AC with heater. Optional internal air management is achieved with internal DC fans, ensuring uniform air distribution throughout the enclosure. This design promotes consistent climate conditions around all equipment, enhancing performance and longevity.
The base frame is available in a 17” height with an optional battery tray or a 6" version. It offers separate or integrated climate control with the main enclosure and features stackable designs for battery compartment expansion.
The main frame includes 2” conduit openings (8qty) in the main enclosure's floor and an optional Patent Pending Halo Cable Ingress for terminated cables and groups of cables up to 2” in diameter.
Athos comes with 10 sub-panels encompassing the enclosure’s sides and floor, available in various configurations including Blank, Unistrut Mounting, Grounding Bus Bar, Vent Panels, AC Load Center, Alviss Enclosure, Conduit Knockouts, and Hooded Cable Ingress.
Designed for scalability, Athos enclosures can be attached to one another indefinitely, allowing for expansive and customizable setups.
Athos is set to integrate with Project SmartBox, an all-inclusive remote monitoring system, capable of environmental monitoring, water intrusion detection, access monitoring, electrical monitoring, relay control, and HVAC system management.
Athos is compliant with NEMA 4X standards, ensuring protection against environmental conditions like dust, rain, and ice formation.
